National Waterfront Museum & Swansea Bay
NATIONAL WATERFRONT MUSEUM & SWANSEA BAY DAY OUT
NATIONAL WATERFRONT MUSEUM & SWANSEA BAY DAY OUT
Discover maritime heritage at the former South Dock at the delightfully redeveloped Swansea Marina.
The National Waterfront Museum is one of the seven National Museums of Wales and is free to enter. This one allows you to discover the industrial and maritime history of Wales through modern, interactive exhibitions and displays and take a look at the full-size working replica of the world's first steam locomotive 'Puffing Billy'. Travel through 300 years of history and see why Wales played such an important role in the Industrial Revolution.
Alternatively, you can take a walk along the promenade to enjoy views over Swansea Bay to the Mumbles; discover the life and works of Dylan Thomas at the Dylan Thomas Centre or make the most of the water park facilities at LC2.
To make your day complete, there are plenty of places to eat and drink around the Marina.
