Holiday Preview

The Ayrshire Coast has one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles. Our visits include the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Culzean Castle and New Lanark World Heritage Site as well as a full day on the fabulous Isle of Arran, known as 'Scotland in Miniature'.

Your Hotel

The Marine Hotel is set in a beautiful location overlooking the golf course and across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Arran. It has an elegant reception area with a chandelier and a formal but cosy bar that extends into a lounge area where guests can relax and socialize.

All 89 bedrooms are tastefully decorated in neutral colours and include TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests have complimentary access to the leisure club which features a fitness suite, indoor swimming pool that overlooks the sea, spa bath, sauna and steam room.

Day 1
With an early morning start from home, we travel to our overnight hotel for dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 2
After breakfast we will continue our journey to Troon, with comfort stops en route.

Day 3
After a leisurely Scottish breakfast we will make our way to the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, which offers a unique encounter with Scotland's favourite son. Set in 10 acres of the poet's cherished countryside, the museum includes the famous Burns Cottage where the poet was born. In the afternoon we continue our way to Culzean Castle, one of Scotland's best loved castles. Here, we enjoy a guided tour of the castle and free time to explore the gardens, deer park and swan pond before returning to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4
Today, we board the ferry at Ardrossan and sail to Brodick on the Isle of Arran, known as 'Scotland in Miniature'. Arran is like a condensed version of the rest of Scotland; it has mountains, lochs, rolling hills, meadows and is surrounded by a stunning coastline.

Day 5
This morning we visit the award winning New Lanark Heritage Site and discover the impressive cotton mill village and the life and times of mill manager and social pioneer Robert Owen. There is time for lunch at the Heritage before returning to our hotel, where we will have time to relax or enjoy a stroll into the charming town of Troon.

Day 6
Sadly, it is time to leave and make our way back home, with comfort stops en route.
