We take the afternoon ferry from Pembroke to Rosslare before travelling up the east coast to Bray for overnight accommodation.
After breakfast we travel north via Drogheda and Dundalk to join the coast road at Newry. We follow the shoreline that meanders beneath the Mountains of Mourne 'which sweep down to the sea' and complete our journey to the Park Avenue Hotel, Belfast, our home for the next 3 nights.
Our day begins with a guided tour of the city, taking in the Botanical Gardens, Queens University, the Waterfront Hall and the famous leaning Albert Clock. In the afternoon we visit the new Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre. The Titanic Belfast opened in April 2012 and is a 'must see' for any visitor to Belfast, located in the heart of the city where RMS Titanic was built. Inside this iconic building, visitors will re-live the entire Titanic story from her birth in Belfast to the fateful maiden voyage and her eventual discovery on the seabed.
After breakfast we make our way to the Giants Causeway, a series of volcanic stone columns surrounded by beautiful coastal scenery. We then complete the journey back to Belfast.
Leaving Belfast today, we retrace our steps to Dublin for plenty of time to explore Ireland's bustling capital city. There are many fascinating highlights to enjoy in the 'Fair City', visit The Guinness Brewery, itself is a major feature of the city. The main centres for retail therapy are O'Connell and Henry Streets, or walk across the Ha'penny Bridge and on through the fashionable Temple Bar area to Grafton Street. We continue south into County Wexford for our final night stay.
